<p>The person completing this course is able to monitor overseas orders and shipment progress in order to establish cargo whereabouts. Learners will also be capable of obtaining clearance and delivery instructions and processing the necessary import documentation to ensure all clearance problems are dealt with. Learners will also be able to process the release of imported goods, ensure final delivery is done and that proof of delivery is obtained and recorded.</p>

<li>The qualifying learner is capable of:</li>
<li>Planning import clearances.</li>
<li>Administering import document flows.</li>
<li>Facilitating import upliftment and delivery procedures.<br />

<h3>WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Plan import clearances.</li>
<li>Importers&#8217; overseas orders are monitored against delivery schedules.</li>
<li>Document availability is tracked against shipment information.</li>
<li>Shipment progress is monitored and recorded for the purpose of communication information.</li>
<li>Track and trace information is used to locate and redirect misrouted cargo.</li>
<li>Track and trace information is applied in the initiation of loss, damage and discrepancy claims.</li>
<li>Administer import document flows.</li>
<li>Clearance and delivery instructions are obtained from importers in order to initiate clearance procedures.</li>
<li>Importers source documentation and instruction are scrutinised for compliance with clearance requirements.</li>
<li>Shipment details are recorded in the clearing organisations tracking systems.</li>
<li>Clearance problems are resolved with importers, statutory bodies and/or carriers.</li>
<li>Invoices and final costings are prepared and distributed in terms of standing instructions.</li>
<li>Import transaction records are maintained according to standard operating procedures.</li>
<li>Facilitate import upliftment and delivery procedures.</li>
<li>Shipment parameters are used to plan final upliftment and delivery.</li>
<li>Statutory and carrier release documentation is used to uplift consignments.</li>
<li>Final delivery is done in terms of organisational policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Proofs of delivery are recorded according to organisational policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Claims are initiated and administered in respect of cargo lost, damaged or discrepant.<br />

<p><strong>Duration</strong></p>
<p>The price of this course is R1590.00 Incl. VAT and you may begin at anytime and should take approximately 2 weeks to complete on a part time basis.(6-8 Hours of Study)</p>

<p><strong>Course Delivery</strong></p>
<p>The course is delivered through the School of Shipping Learning website and allows you to study at your own pace. Our courses can be started on Demand.</p>
<p>A Subject Matter Expert with over 40 years Managerial and operational experience in Freight Forwarding, International Trade and customs compliance  will provide you with academic support through the learning website and a Course Coordinator will also be available on email and telephone to provide you with administrative support.</p>

<p><strong>Assessment and Award of the Certificate</strong></p>
<p>You are not required to write any exams, assessments are completed online. You will need to achieve a mark of at least 60% for each assessment to receive the certification. Should you not gain competency on your first attempt one more resubmission will be allowed at no additional cost.</p>

<p><strong>Entry Requirements</strong></p>
<p>The only entry requirement for this course is a desire to learn and advance your career.</p>
<p>In order to do this course, you will need:</p>
